As an artist, the need to re-invent oneself over time is necessary. Ultimately, boredom must be kept at bay. For me, experimentation is an important ingredient for maintaining a personal interest in picture making. It frees me from the expected, and offers an invitation of opinions from others. New colors, compositions, subject matter and surface redefine "style" opening new avenues of possibilities worth exploring in the future. The work here, and throughout my career as an artist, illustrator, painter and educator best represents this philosophy.
